Emma Tsui Photography is looking to hire a local assistant for a destination wedding in Bonny Doon, CA on September 4th, to assist the first photographer throughout the wedding day. If you are a photographer that’s interested in getting some fresh wedding photography experience to start this journey, this could be for you! It allows you to build your portfolio while picking up some extra contract work.
Job Description & Requirements:
We are currently looking for an assistant for a full day wedding to assist the first photographer in carrying gears and help to shoot & capture moments of the attendees. Experience shooting at least 1 wedding prefer. Applicants need to have at least 1 year of photography experience. Applicants that have no portfolio/gallery link in application will not be considered. The wedding will be 8 – 10 hours.
- Pay is $20 per hour.
- One meal (either lunch/dinner) is included.
- Must have you own camera. See camera requirements below.
- You do not need to edit photos, but will have to shoot consistent with the first photographer’s style. The first photographer will give you guidance and notes before the wedding.
- You will need to be able to get to the wedding location by yourself. Hence, have an access to a vehicle and a driver’s license is preferred.
- Location: Bonny Doon (full detail location will be revealed at interview)
Camera Requirements:
Minimum camera requirements
BODY – Full Frame DSLR or Mirrorless x 1
LENS – Fast Prime 50mm 1.8, 35mm 1.8
OTHER – The nature of wedding photographer often requires a flash light, or extremely good low light capabilities
